A couple months ago my father told me of a book he read called The Mascot. The son of a Holocaust survivor wrote of his father’s ordeal, seeing his family shot, fleeing for his life, hiding in the woods and then…becoming the mascot for a Nazi army unit.
It is an amazing story and 60 minutes did a piece on it. Watch the video below.
