Day 91 — Help win the FIGHT for TRUTH!
Shabbat Shalom!
Elana and I came to Tel Aviv to celebrate her birthday. It’s strange that we would go to where we used to live less than a year ago for a little bit of a breather. But just a few minutes ago, Hamas sent a barrage of rockets towards many of the southern towns, including several to Ashkelon.
When I was here in October, I decided to make a video at Jaffa Port. Jaffa is part of Tel Aviv and is the oldest city in the world, some believe. In the video, I mentioned that Jaffa is a mixed Arab and Jewish city and that even though we are in the midst of this war, I can walk around safely. The vast majority of Arabs were shocked at the brutality and savagery of Hamas on October 7. There has been little to no demonstrations in support of Hamas by the Israeli Arabs.
I posted the video on Instagram and it went viral. Somebody with 2 million followers reposted it and it has been viewed many times. On my page, it was viewed over 100,000 times. I realizedthat we can make these short 90-second videos and reach a lot of people.
Below are three videos that were reviewed well over 100,000 times.
(This one just 70,000)
There was a article today in the Jerusalem Post about how Islamic fundamentalism is using the Internet to deceive people. We need to use it to educate people with the truth. Please pray for us as we continue to make these videos and get the truth out.
For instance, did you know that there are 2 million Arabs with Israeli citizenship? These are not Palestinians, but Israelis, whose families did not flee during the War for Independence in 1948. They have freedom of speech, religion, and movement, unlike many Arabs, throughout the Middle East. They hold jobs like Supreme Court judges, lawyers, politicians, and doctors and nurses. One has to ask themselves, why don’t they leave to go to another Arab country if Israel is so evil? Certainly, they could go to Saudi Arabia or Syria. I’m sure Iraq or Jordan would take them in. But they stay in Israel because they love freedom. I don’t claim that life is perfect for Arabs here in Israel, but it’s a lot better than in any other Arab nation in the Middle East.
OK, I am off to our weekly congregational meeting. I can’t wait to worship with the Messianic saints in Tel Aviv.
