Day 53 — Israel in Crisis
We had a really good plan for Giving Tuesday. But everything changed on October the 7th. On that Black Shabbat neighborhoods would burn, children would be murdered and lives, so many lives, would be changed forever.
We knew that we had to refocus on serving the broken and wounded Israeli nation. And you stepped up! You were heroic in your giving. In the video below I can't even get through all the different ways that you blessed Israel.
But we're not done!
Entire neighborhoods were destroyed. People are homeless. And of course, there are still over 100 hostages. There is an opportunity to show the Jewish people the true love of Yeshua.
WHO YOU ARE HELPING TODAY!
Tank Video Systems: We are purchasing unique technology to outfit Israeli tanks with a more comprehensive video system that saves lives. There are many tank commanders who have requested this system for their tanks. We have committed to four so far: $6,000.
Winter Gear for Soldiers: We will also provide winter equipment for a unit, such as thermal wear, gloves, thermoses, headgear, etc. This will be a tremendous witness, as the young man requesting the funds for his unit is a believer. In his words, “I am the only believer they know.” Your gift to these unbelieving soldiers through Beni, a believer, will be a tremendous witness, as it will come from their fellow soldier who happens to know Yeshua! We are giving $5,000.
Whenever we have given funds or bought needed equipment for soldiers, I tell them that it is coming from followers of Yeshua around the world. So often they respond by acknowledging that their true friends are evangelical believers.
I asked the Lord early on if this shift to humanitarian aid was his will. He dropped into my spirit Matthew 5: 16.
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
I'm an evangelist. I love the fact that we have a 24/7 television station sharing the good news of Yeshua in Hebrew. But he assured me that as we served those who were hurting, we would be shining the light of Messiah.
Let's continue! When Yeshua returns, he is going to ask how we treated the least of his physical brothers and sisters. I thank God that you will be able to say, “I was there for them in their time of need.”
And he's going to say,
“‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.” (Matt. 25:34)
