In Israel, right now, Memorial Day has ended—a somber time of remembering those who have given their lives in defense of our country and those whose lives have been taken by terrorists…and at sundown, our mourning (usually) turns to great joy as we begin to celebrate Independence Day, when Israel became a nation in 1948.
However, the celebrations are under fire this year—literally!!—as HUGE FIRES are raging around Jerusalem! Many events have been cancelled. The scenes are horrific—people forced to abandon their vehicles along Highway 1 from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and run for safety, entire communities have been evacuated. Please pray!  |
