Thinking BIG and small

ree

At Shelanu TV, we are always thinking BIG…and small.

We love being able to reach tens of thousands of Israelis with the Good News of Yeshua in Hebrew all day, every day and we are always thinking of creative, Holy Spirit-inspired content to produce.

But we also love the “small”—the one-on-one encounters with people who are seeking the Messiah.

It is these “small” moments that tend to bear much fruit—through the patience, wisdom, and love our online evangelists express by the power of the Holy Spirit. Evangelism is not merely using a megaphone. If we focus only that that, we can lose God’s heart for each individual person. It is also imperative to be with the lost—to love them and hear them.

Yeshua reached the masses, but he also had close encounters with:

• The woman caught in adultery (John 8:1-11)

• The man with the withered hand (Mark 3:1-6)

• The mother who just lost her son (Luke 7:11-17)

• The chief tax collector, Zacchaeus (Luke 19:1-10)

Take for instance, the stories of these two men our Shelanu team recently interacted with—one strictly religious, one a Messianic immigrant: diverse backgrounds, with different questions and needs.

Michael, a father of two (ages 10 and 14) recently contacted us, explaining that he’s new to speaking Hebrew and wants his children to grow in faith in Yeshua. But as immigrants, many Hebrew-speaking families face a gap: their kids speak Hebrew fluently, while the parents struggle with the language and can't communicate biblical truth as effectively. He told us he uses Hebrew-language Messianic videos (like those from ShelanuTV) to teach his children about faith. Now, he’s asking for help connecting them with a Hebrew-speaking congregation. We invited them to visit our congregation in Tel Aviv, where there are fantastic youth and children’s programs. We’re praying they’ll come and find a spiritual home.

Shaul began corresponding with our team online. He described himself as belonging to a strict religious stream and even claimed priestly lineage. He often quoted both the New Testament and rabbinic sources - but mostly to argue and defend his position. At first, his tone was confrontational, and it didn’t seem like he wanted to learn.

But after many long conversations, something began to change. His heart started to soften. He began asking genuine questions - not just trying to make a point. While he still brings up unconventional interpretations of Scripture, we’ve started showing him the biblical basis for faith in Yeshua: Messianic prophecies, the purpose of the cross, and the heart of salvation. We’re thankful to see his openness growing and continue to pray that he will fully encounter the love and truth of the Messiah.

Please join us in praying for these men and the thousands who are watching Shelanu TV and hearing the good news (many for the first time!) of Yeshua.

And with your financial support today, we can continue to reach more and more Israelis. Consider making a one-time donation today or becoming an ongoing partner with Shelanu.

Together, we are sharing the gospel in BIG and small ways with Israelis…until that day when ALL Israel will be saved!
