There is nothing wrong with being short

I was a freakishly small kid. I think I weighed 68 pounds in seventh grade. I was always the shortest one in the class, but I wasn’t the weakest. In fact, I always felt I was as tough as anyone else in the class—except the really big kids. My point is this: there’s nothing wrong with being short! (I finally had a growth spurt and made it to 5’ 8.5”!). But still, short can be powerful.

That’s why I’m so excited about our new team member, Dona. I’m not exactly sure how tall she is, but she has been focusing on YouTube shorts. Those are ninety-second clips that people tend to binge-watch. Dona is super creative and creates these short clips in which she talks to herself. Well, not literally talking to herself. She plays two people in the video having a conversation.

In this one she is explaining to herself that the New Testament is a fulfillment of the Hebrew scriptures. “When you speak of Yeshua, are you saying he is the one [that Isaiah speaks of]?”

“Exactly!” That is the בדיוק! That you see in the photo.

I love our team. Evan constantly challenges them to think of creative ways to reach Israelis with a message of Yeshua. We also love to share worship moments so that Israel can see the difference between the traditional liturgical experience of the conventional synagogue and vibrant, dynamic worship. Check this one out!

Next week, Evan will hopefully sign the contract for our new home. With 12-foot ceilings, we will be able to build a proper studio. We’re hoping we can move in by the end of the summer, but no later than the end of the year. Our new studio will enable us to do even more.

These YouTube shorts (which are also on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok) are incredibly effective. People will watch one after another, sometimes for hours. We don’t recommend this as a proper way to live your life, but we’re hoping to surprise some Israelis with good news as they binge-watch shorts.

Your partnership is essential. Our primary focus now is raising the funds to renovate our office space. As I shared, one of our board members is committed to paying the rent for the first two years. We just need to come up with the funds for the renovation. Your gift today to Shelanu TV will result in more Israelis hearing the life-changing message of salvation through Yeshua the Messiah!

I know that you are passionate about reaching Israelis… we are too. Together, we will see the fulfillment of Romans 11:26, “all Israel will be saved,” and Zechariah 12:10, which speaks of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, recognizing Yeshua as Messiah!
