On Monday night, more than 70 people gathered at Tiferet Yeshua in Tel Aviv to celebrate Yom Teruah (the Feast of Trumpets), also known as Rosh Hashanah. It was a special evening—several Israeli unbelievers even joined us. Pastor Moti reflected that on the very same day, many nations at the UN declared a Palestinian state: “It felt like the end of days, when all the nations turn against us.”
Together, we prayed, sounded the shofar, and asked the Lord to open the eyes of Israelis during the Ten Days of Awe leading up to Yom Kippur. We prayed for healing, for Israel to see Yeshua, for the hostages to come home, and even for Israel’s enemies—that God would touch them as well.
(In the video, which we have blurred to protect the identities of visitors and children, Moti’s daughter Talya shares about Israel’s unique position today. She speaks of the rise in antisemitism and explains that while Israel has many enemies, behind them are dark spiritual forces. We prayed together that God would destroy “those spiritual forces against the people of Israel and the Messiah of Israel.”)
The fall feasts point us to the Parousía—the Second Coming of Yeshua—just as the spring feasts pointed to His first coming. As Matthew 24:27 says, “For as lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.”
We are honored to shine the light of Yeshua in the heart of Tel Aviv through our congregation and through Shelanu TV, our 24/7 Hebrew channel. The ground is dry, but we are believing for revival.
We are still seeking to raise $70,000 for Tiferet Yeshua this year. Please prayerfully consider a special gift during this holiday season to strengthen the Messianic remnant in Israel.
