It all started two years ago...

It all started two years ago, on one of the regular street outreach nights (Feed Tel Aviv) that our congregation, Tiferet Yeshua, does. The things Pastor Moti and the other volunteers see there on the streets are not easy, but one sight pierced the heart of one of the women, Esther (name changed), and shocked her deeply: a man was buying drugs with his little boy by his side, a child only eight years old.

Esther said the sight of the child stopped her in her tracks. She just couldn’t just keep walking: she felt a deep inner urge to reach out.

She approached the man, and, with compassion, suggested that they meet. Amazingly, he agreed.

A SEED IS PLANTED

The path from that “yes” to actually sitting down together in a café for coffee was filled with obstacles and trials (no surprise that there would be some spiritual warfare!).

As the two talked, Esther opened up about her faith in Yeshua. At the end of the conversation, he looked at her and said, ‘You are a really nice woman, but everything related to Yeshua is really not for me. I am a Jew.’

Despite the barrier he put up, something inside him nevertheless opened that day because he agreed to receive a Hebrew Bible with the New Testament as a gift. They parted ways, and there was no further contact…for two years.

THE HOLY SPIRIT WATERS

Last month, during an outreach, the man crossed paths again unexpectedly with our team.

And something had changed…

Two years ago, he had rejected the message of Yeshua and was not willing to receive prayer in His name. This time he actually asked the team to pray for him and agreed that they could do so in Yeshua’s name—this was HUGE!

After praying with him, he prayed to accept Yeshua as Lord of his life.

With tears in his eyes, he said he knew exactly where the Bible that Esther had given him was and said he would begin reading it right away.

This meeting reminded our team that no effort is lost, and, even in hearts that seem to us the hardest and most closed, seeds of faith can sprout and grow, by God’s grace in the work of the Holy Spirit, even if it takes years.

It’s because of YOUR prayers and support that the outreaches happen and lives are being changed. Messiah’s Mandate is the largest donor to the congregation, giving roughly $5000 a month. This includes paying a portion of our senior pastor’s (Moti) salary who is doing an amazing job.

The congregation is growing. People are involved in outreach like Feed Tel Aviv. There's just a great spirit.

Please make a special donation today or become an ongoing partner to reach Tel Aviv with the good news of Yeshua.

Our team also asks for your prayers—for continued unity, love, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, as they bring the light of Yeshua to those lost in the darkness.
