We Need Your Support After an Unexpected Year

I want to thank you for standing with us during this unexpected year. I’m so grateful to my partner, Shelanu TV Director and Station Manager Evan Santoro, who’s been doing an amazing job overseeing our team, creating content, and managing an operation whereby believers are reaching out online to those who are seeking. Every week, people inquire and ask questions, and our evangelists are there to answer.

Let me see if I can encapsulate the past year and a half:

1. We encountered the October 7 attacks, which were absolutely devastating.

2. Elana and I got back to Israel, and one mother’s request for a bulletproof vest turned into a fundraising campaign to stand with Israel that raised over $1 million. It was a massive pivot in our ministry. But that’s what you wanted, you wanted to stand with Israel in her darkest hour.

3. If I’m honest, after doing that for six months—often we would spend all morning serving (which would always open up a door to the next project)—and then come home in the afternoon and write a lengthy email, often with video, it was incredibly stressful. But I kept remembering that it was only a fraction of what soldiers were going through, not to mention those who had lost everything, often, including loved ones. So we kept going.

4. As things began to slow down, Tikkun was asked to oversee an investigation into clergy sexual abuse at IHOPKC. This was interesting, because in February 2024, I had a several-day period where I knew that the Lord was telling me that we were going to be working in this area. I had already been studying the subject. The investigation started in September and I had the privilege of doing outreach to many survivors and advocates. I was getting a master course from some of the most amazing people.

5. Next week, I begin my final eight-week semester for my Doctorate of Ministry. The last day of class is July 4. That will be another turning point I believe.

All that is to say that these past 18 months have been different than I had ever imagined.

But the ministry goes on. Shelanu continues to be the most significant thing that we are involved in. We have a board meeting scheduled next week to decide whether or not we’re going to lease space in Tel Aviv and build a studio. Please be in prayer for that.

And please continue your partnership with Messiah’s Mandate. After the intense million dollar fundraising to bless Israel, I have not talked much about funds. But we are in need. I believe over this next year our focus will be to continue with Shelanu (without a doubt!) but also continue to teach and preach on this issue of sexual abuse and clergy spiritual abuse.

We are planning to go to Singapore to do a pastors conference on this subject. Once my university program finishes, we will be launching two podcasts—one on the issue of abuse and the other on spiritual formation, which has been my cognate (major) these past two years.

But again, for the first time in a while, I really need to ask you to stay with us. Please consider becoming a monthly partner with Messiah’s Mandate. Help us get the good news of Yeshua to Israelis and play a small role in educating the Body of Messiah on these significant issues.

Thank you!

PS…We received tremendous feedback from you regarding the past two podcast interviews we did. Two days ago I sat down for two hours—yes, two hours!—with the guys at Remnant Radio. I’ve appreciated their ministry for quite a while and was honored that they had me on as a guest.
