We believe the seed of revival is still in Tel Aviv!

ree

More than two thousand years ago, the Bible tells us that Yeshua went to many villages and cities in Israel (and even into Syria). But we don’t have any record of him ever visiting Jaffa (also known as Joppa in the book of Acts)—the ancient port city that is now a part of modern Tel Aviv.

But for the last 30 years, we know that Yeshua has been walking the streets of Tel Aviv, reaching out to the homeless, drug addicts, prostitutes, the secular, the lost—through the body of Messianic Jewish believers at Tiferet Yeshua (“The Glory of Yeshua”).

While Yeshua didn’t come to Tel Aviv, his apostles did. In fact, it was here in Jaffa that Peter raised Tabitha from the dead, which led to a revival there: “This became known all over Joppa, and many people believed in the Lord.” We believe the seed of revival is still in Tel Aviv!

Tiferet Yeshua has a passion for reaching the lost and hurting, routinely feeding the homeless kosher meals (even in the midst of war!), seeking to get addicts into faith-based treatment centers, and sharing the good news of Yeshua with any seeker, religious or secular.

During the war (with Hamas, Houthis, Hezbollah, and Iran) over the last couple of years, the congregation has been impacted. Our new pastor (long-time member and associate pastor), Moti Cohen, not only serves in the congregation’s Feed Tel Aviv soup kitchen, but he also serves in the IDF reserves. In the 12-day war with Iran, ballistic missiles hit the homes of several members of Tiferet Yeshua. Through your help, the congregation has not only been able to help members recover from the devastation, but we have been able to help others in our community. It has been an amazing time of sharing the love of Yeshua in very practical ways.

Elana and I have called Tiferet Yeshua “home” during most of our 20 years here in Israel. After pastoring the congregation for a few years, we continue to serve as elders.

You too can be a part of the work that Yeshua is doing through his body at Tiferet Yeshua! Messiah’s Mandate—which is YOU—is the largest single donor to the congregation. Every year we believe God for $70,000. These funds help Tiferet Yeshua in many ways, including paying part of Moti’s salary, making sure we have a place to gather every week, and feeding the homeless.

This summer, we are raising $70,000 for 2025 to support Tiferet Yeshua. You can make an impact in Tel Aviv from wherever you are in the world by standing with Tiferet Yeshua. On behalf of our congregation, Toda Raba—Thank you very much!
