Today, they only need your love and prayer
Welcome to our first fundraiser where we will not ask you to donate anything but love and prayer! We were about finished with the vetting process to get the funds for the drones for the precious young men from Battalion 630 when they got word that another organization had drones in stock to give them. They will receive almost everything they need—except for one thermal drone. Here is the note from Naom, an orthodox Jewish soldier who has become a dear friend over these past difficult months.
Hi Ron how are you?
A couple of months ago before we got called back to reserves we reached out to this organization that was giving out drones to soldiers and they never got back to us. But they just got back to now and told us they would give us most of the drones that we needed. The last one we need is a thermal drone and we are still trying to figure out how much that costs. So for now don’t transfer the money to him.
We’re gonna go ahead and purchase their needed thermal drone as soon as we get the details. In the meantime, watch this video of one of their brave soldiers.
We will use the funds we saved for other needs. This week, we are purchasing refrigerators and portable air conditioners for Dovev’s troops in Gaza. You know Dovev; he was the commander who surprised his family when they were hosting us for Shavuot (Pentecost). It is so hot in Israel right now! Gaza is humid because of the Mediterranean Sea and hot like a desert!
I know the media portrays the IDF soldiers poorly, but if you met them, you would not know that these characterizations (actually caricatures) are absolute lies. Unlike Hamas, they do not surround themselves with women and children—instead, they bravely enter the enemy’s territory to fight for our women and children. These are people who want a future beyond war. They are software designers, accountants, future doctors and business owners. They would much rather not be fighting this war, and be at home with their families. Keep them in prayer.
And you have stuck with them! God bless you. You have proven your love for Israel. I know the Lord sees and is pleased! I am so grateful to you.
