I Can’t Wait Until Friday

I can’t wait until Friday! As I write this, I’m at the airport heading home to Israel. Why am I so excited? Because after several weeks away, I finally get to be back with our congregational family. There is something powerful that happens when the people of God gather under the banner of Yeshua.

And Tiferet Yeshua is not just any congregation. It is unique:

• Everything we do is in Hebrew.

• We meet in Tel Aviv—the largest concentration of Jewish people in the world, with more than 3 million in the greater area!

I love our congregation!

When I walk in and see Elior leading worship, my heart is full. Elior grew up in our congregation, but when he finished high school and entered the army, he had no interest in Yeshua. Just after his release from the army, something changed. Today, he is on fire for God—not only leading worship but also boldly sharing his faith with others.

And then there’s Pastor Moti. He has always had a heart for the poor and broken. When we launched Feed Tel Aviv, he quickly took over the leadership. Honestly, I can raise funds, but I don’t have the grace that Moti has to go into the most dangerous, heartbreaking parts of Tel Aviv every week—bringing food to drug addicts, prostitutes, and the homeless. For years, he has done this faithfully, even turning his own kitchen into a meal-making hub and involving his children to teach them the value of serving.

Every year, through Messiah’s Mandate, we raise nearly $70,000 for Tiferet Yeshua. We are the congregation’s largest donor. But let’s be clear—that means you. We can only continue to bless this lighthouse in Tel Aviv because of the generosity of friends like you. Through your giving, your hands and feet are reaching into the largest Jewish community on earth with the gospel.

But today I need to be forthright. We are struggling to raise the needed funds for the congregation. We have never missed our monthly commitment, but right now things are very tight.
