Everything that can be Shaken …

Writer's picture: Ron CantorRon Cantor

I wrote the following 300 words, only slightly edited today, four years ago in my book Birth Pangs, and I believe we are seeing it come to pass before our eyes.

I rarely use prophetic verbiage these days because there is so much misuse and false prophecy, but what I wrote came from what felt like a vision of structures of ministries crumbling. At the time, I thought it was connected to COVID; however, it seems to be taking place now.

God is shaking everything that can be shaken. Now is a good time to reevaluate what is important. Where do you stand? Is your life built on the eternal Rock or on the shifting sands of what this empty world promises? A great shift is coming regardless of our current priorities.

Let It All Come Down!

Are 75-minute cookie-cutter worship services claiming to be charismatic but having no place for the gifts of the Holy Spirit unshakable? We will find out. I see a time soon when God is going to bring some of our ministry structures crumbling down. I do not exempt myself—for God alone knows my heart and motives, my fears and jealousies. Let it all come down!

I imagine that some Christian leaders are panicking over losing their platforms. …

I keep seeing, in my spirit, scaffolding and structures that are man-made, and a wrecking ball/earthquake taking them all down. Then something more beautiful is rising up—the ecclesia, the people of God—something eternal that cannot be shaken. We are always talking about draining the swamp in politics, but could it be that God is draining the swamp in ministries? Does not judgment begin with the house of God? (1 Peter 4:17)

As leaders, if our hearts are pure, we should rejoice. Yes, it is scary. Personally, I dont want to lose my platform … but I choose to put it all on the altar. Let that which is not from heaven burn, so the glorious body of Yeshua may come forth in power! Preachers should not be afraid of this. Do we want God, or do we want our own personal kingdoms? One way or another, all this is going to be burned up in the end. This life is but a vapor. Why hold on to something that is so temporal and fading?

We are well into this investigation into IHOP-KC. One of the things that has become very clear to me is that most of the large ministries have no interest in this investigation. One Church recently gave us $5,000, and a ministry in Brazil just gave us a $10,000 matching funds gift. Other than that, the ministries in the US that were close with IHOP-KC or Mike Bickle have been silent. The ministers that expressed solidarity with Mike Bickle before all the facts came out (that is, the facts that have come out… I trust that more will be revealed through the investigation) have not expressed any support—not emotionally or financially. Crickets.

Maybe they have something to hide. It is not a good time to be hiding. God is exposing. People are finding their voices. Victims are seeing other victims sharing their stories and

finding courage. Social media is neither evil nor good. It can be used for evil or for good. One of the good ways that it is being used is by people who are finding their voices after being silent for years, living in shame, and even wondering if they were the cause of their own abuse.

As a result, we are in the midst of a great shaking.
