A Gospel Grill in Tel Aviv

ree

Even in the midst of war, Israel is a country of people (no matter what nation you originally came from or whether you are secular or religious, Orthodox or Messianic) who love two things: being outdoors and enjoying a delicious meal.

So, this summer (and into the fall), our congregation in Tel Aviv, Tiferet Yeshua, has been hosting a monthly “Gospel Grill” outreach on the promenade (a popular gathering place in the city).

Recently, we received the following update from Tiferet Yeshua. I hope this gives you a little glimpse into the lives of believers in Israel and how YOU can be part (through your prayers and generosity) of reaching Tel Aviv with the GOOD NEWS of Yeshua.

REACHING TEL AVIV

During our monthly “Gospel Grill,” Moti, the pastor of our congregation and the one who has led the street outreaches for many years, prepares delicious food on the mangal—Israeli BBQ style. There’s also small worship team, a prayer team, and people who are “prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks the reason for the hope” in us (1 Pet. 3:15) with passers-by or people stopping to listen to the worship. We, of course, invite them to share a meal, and there are always meaningful conversations.

OUTREACH FELLOWSHIP

This year, Moti had an idea to expand this outreach and make it a congregational “happening” so that families and those not usually involved in street outreach would have an opportunity to fellowship outside our Friday services – which have been a challenge with the ongoing war. The event is mainly outreach-oriented, but we added teaching for those who are interested and activities for children. This is also a great opportunity for those who feel intimidated to share their faith with strangers and offers them a way to contribute to the outreach in prayer, worship, and service.

We know that sowing the seeds of the Gospel will bring in a harvest for the Kingdom of God, and we feel the urgency of showing our people the way, the truth, and the life in Yeshua. We are also encouraged to see more involvement from the congregation at these outreaches, and we know that we will see fruit – both in new believers coming to faith and personal spiritual growth of members of Tiferet Yeshua.

Please pray with us for these outreaches and for every Israeli who has had the opportunity to hear the good news!

We are in the middle of our Summer Blessings campaign to raise $70,000 to support the congregation as they reach Tel Aviv with the gospel of Yeshua, help the poor and those impacted by the war, and disciple new believers.

Your one-time special donation today will help us keep the lights on at our meeting space, as well as continue to support these vital outreach efforts.

I truly believe that the seeds of revival were planted 2,000 years ago in Tel Aviv and will spring to life one day…soon!
