Thirty years ago, Ari and Shira Sorko-Ram founded a unique congregation in Israel—a spirit-filled, Hebrew-speaking-only Messianic congregation. At the time, this was very rare in Israel—the few congregations that existed usually offered translators so they could appeal to tourists and a wider range of immigrant believers. But the effect was that when native Israelis entered the congregation, it looked “foreign” to them. Ari and Shira had a heart to reach Israelis in their own language, in a setting that looked familiar to them.

Elana and I share that vision. After serving at Tiferet Yeshua as the lead pastoral couple for several years, we are still connected and serve on the elder leadership team. Over the years, the congregation has grown, reaching Israelis with the message of salvation through Yeshua.

Life in Tel Aviv is EXPENSIVE (especially rent)! Messiah’s Mandate—thanks to YOU—is the largest contributor to Tiferet Yeshua—and all the wonderful things they do, like feeding the poor, helping the homeless, the addicted, and others living on the street.

That’s all part of the REMARKABLE thing—so, what is the "dumb" thing, you may ask?

We are seeking to raise $70,000 to support the congregation during the lowest giving season—late summer. Most fundraising is done at the end of the year. Right now, people are focused on other things (like getting the kids back to school or enjoying a family vacation).
