Welcome back to Messianic Mondays. Wars have a way of messing up our email schedule. However, I'd like to share with you a video I made yesterday. I’ll tell you about it in just a minute. But first, I want to thank everyone who prayed for me on Friday before I spoke at our congregation in Tel Aviv, Tiferet Yeshua.
Preaching in Hebrew
I don’t get nervous preaching in English. I could be in front of 20,000 people, and I would be excited to share the Word of God—no fear. But in Hebrew, I can get nervous in front of just 20 people. And yet I counted it such an honor to be able to minister the Word to the saved remnant of Israel. As stressful as it can be, it is a sacred privilege.
There are numerous components at play when ministering in Hebrew. I’m reading passages in Hebrew (Biblical Hebrew is different than modern Hebrew), and I sometimes translate in my mind as I speak. If I get off to a rough start, it can affect the whole message. Having said that: I don’t believe I’ve ever experienced such freedom and preaching in Hebrew as I did on Friday. Thank you so much!
Here's a brief clip where we pray for Iran—English subtitles are provided.
Before I preached, apparently my wife was in cahoots with Moti, our senior leader, and they provided a beautiful cake to celebrate my completion of my doctoral degree. It was my lifelong dream to have my face on a cake! I’m joking. How did they even do that? But it was so sweet. I was so blessed and felt so much love from the congregation.

The Bible Says…
Yesterday, we produced a video where I share 15 verses from the Hebrew Bible that clearly speak about a future restoration of the Jewish people to the land of Israel. It is all the rage these days to tell people that the nation of Israel is not the fulfillment of these promises. You need more faith to believe that than to believe that it is. In fact, it’s so clear that I think it was a little bit snarky in the video. I apologize.
Think about it: the prophet said that the Jewish people would come back to the land, that there would be an exodus from the land of the north (1 million Jews came from the former Soviet Union in the 1990s), Jerusalem would be the capital, and that Jewish people would come, not merely from Babylon, but from the four corners of the earth. As you see and hear these passages in the video, you will see that there can be no other conclusion unless one is willing to gaslight oneself and believe that what they’re witnessing is not reality. Amos says that the restored Israel will never be uprooted again (Amos 9:14–15).
As Replacement Theology (The idea that Israel has forfeited her promises and they have been given to the Church—while the Jews must keep the curses!) is making a comeback. One of the reasons that people struggle with the idea of Israel being a covenant people is they cannot comprehend that God could have a covenant with the Church (Jews and Gentiles) through Yeshua, and still be faithful to physical Israel because of his covenant with Abraham—which was forever (Gen 17:7-8).
Listen to this video at 1.5X or even 2X, and it is shorter. And please share it with your friends. The issue of Israel is an ongoing, End Time issue. The Bible speaks about the hearts of many growing cold (Matt. 24:12), many leaving the faith (Matt. 24:12), and all nations turning against Israel (Zech. 12:2-3).
Now, more than ever, it is imperative that the Church prays for Israel’s salvation. As I share in the video, there is a mutual need between the Church and the Jewish people. It was the Jewish people who prayed for the coming of the Messiah 2,000 years ago. And now it will be the Church that loves Israel that prays for her redemption. The best way to stand with Israel is to contend for her salvation.
A quick word about finances
We don’t discuss finances very often. Honestly, I am much more focused on the Word of God and seeing accountability and justice in the Church. But I would be remiss if I did not remind you that we do operate on the generosity of those who receive this newsletter. If these teachings are a blessing to you, please consider a special gift or partnering with us monthly. You can click here to partner with us.
We’re so grateful for you.
Blessings to you and your family.
