Today is the most somber day of the year for Israelis.

Today is the most somber day of the year for Israelis. We call it Yom HaZikaron (Memorial Day). On a normal year, it’s extremely sad, but this year is maybe the saddest in Modern Israel’s short history. We honor soldiers who fell in battle as well as victims of terrorism. This year, we have had to add around 1500 new names to the list. Please take some time to watch this video as I share a little bit about Yom Hazicharon and other news from Israel.

At the end, I’ll give a brief update about Israel’s participation in Eurovision. Thousands of protesters showed up, and those inside the auditorium booed during Israeli Eden Golan’s entire performance. But others cheered, and the response from the European voters was encouraging. It’s in the video.
