Thousands of Christians Expected to Flock to Israel for the Feast of Tabernacles Next Week

After two years of COVID-related travel bans, the 43rd Annual Feast of Tabernacles celebration sponsored by the International Christian Embassy (ICEJ) will once again be in full swing. More than 2,000 Christians from 70 nations are expected to attend the week of festivities, making it the largest gathering of international Christians in Israel this year.

It also is a sign that Christian tourism is making a full comeback.

Before the coronavirus shut down the world—and Israel—Christian tourism accounted for more than half of all of Israel’s tourism in 2019, according to the Israel Central Bureau of Statistics. When the pandemic began in 2020, tourism in the Holy Land plummeted 81 percent—from 4.5 million down to 831,500. The return of Christian tourists is expected to help the tourism industry fully recover from the pandemic dive.

Elana and I are doing our part! We are so excited to once again be hosting a tour—in March 2023. If you have been thinking about coming to Israel, now is the time! The weather will be beautiful, the food will be amazing, and the fellowship and teaching will be life-changing. We have a few spots left—sign up today! Go to www.uptozion.net. We still have nine spaces.
