Obama Wants Israel to Move Back to 1967 Borders

The President Elect is Testing the resolve of his 77% Jewish Majority

President-elect Barack Obama, who was supported by 77% of Jewish voters in America, wasted no time in saying ‘thank you’. Obama, who stated back in June, that, “Jerusalem will remain the capital of Israel, and it must remain undivided,” (when speaking to AIPAC, an American pro-Israel group, left), wants Israel to move back to its pre-Six-Day War borders according to a report from the London Times. The report quotes a senior advisor to Obama. (click here for London Times article) In exchange, Israel would receive diplomatic recognition from the Arab world.

“A senior Obama adviser told the London Times that Obama will throw his support behind a 2002 Saudi peace initiative that also has been endorsed by Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, the Arab League, and Israeli President Shimon Peres.” “Under the plan:

1. Israel would be able to veto the return of Arab refugees expelled in 1948.

2. Israel would restore the Golan Heights to Syria.

3. Palestinians would be allowed to establish a state capital in east Jerusalem.” (newsmax.com)

Addressing the first bullet concerning Arab refugees that Israel “expelled in 1948.” According to news reports between 1947 and the following years, the major majority of Arabs who left the area did so not because of Israeli expulsion as is popularly believed, but instead:

1. Thousands of affluent Arabs left in anticipation of a war, for fear of losing their wealth.

2. Thousands more responded to Arab leaders’ calls to get out of the way of the advancing armies. They were told that once the Zionists were crushed they could not only come back to their own homes, but also to the homes of the dead Jews.

3. Most Arabs simply left to avoid being caught in the cross fire of a battle.

Mr. Obama hasn’t even taken oath and already he is carving up the Jewish homeland like a thanksgiving turkey—a week early. God warns against this in the book of Joel:

I will gather all nations, and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will enter into judgment against them concerning my inheritance, my people Israel, for they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land. (Joel 3:2)

“According to a Washington source Obama told [Palestinian President] Abbas, ‘The Israelis would be crazy not to accept this initiative. It would give them peace with the Muslim world from Indonesia to Morocco.’” (London Times)

Oh really?

And what happens when Arab forces put troops on the new Israeli/Palestinian border? Israel will have the Sea on one side and eight miles to the left, Arab soldiers and tanks. You read that correctly, Israel’s width in some places would be barely over eight miles!

1. That means that my home will be easily in range of Kassam rockets.

2. That means a marathoner could run from east to west 3x with change to spare!

3. That means I could do a leisurely cross country drive in eight minutes!!!

4. That means…well, you get the point.

And what happens when these Arab nations decide to take away recognition over some dispute and continue the boycott of Israeli products? Will they return the Land?

And, what about the fact that the very country that has pushed this plan, Saudi Arabia, teaches their children that Jews kidnap Arab children and make matzah with their blood? What happens when these kids grow up? You think they are going to honor a peace plan with bloodthirsty Jews?

Yes, we would be crazy to give away more land. Look how well it is going in Hamas-controlled Gaza where Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit remains in captivity, not to mention Hezbollah-controlled southern Lebanon. (soon to be Hezbollah-controlled all of Lebanon!)

What is Really Going On?

Mr. Obama, who many believe transcends politics as usual, is simply being a politician. I have no doubt that this unnamed “senior advisor” was commissioned to give this interview to a paper outside the US to see what public reaction would be. Obama himself would not come out and say this, but make no mistake; his team is tracking US reaction. He wants to see if he can get away with this. If reaction is bad, he will say the story is a lie. If it is good, he will pursue this agenda.

Now is the time to make noise. Write you congressman, forward this email, email President Elect Obama’s senate office—let your voice be heard. Israel needs her Christian friends. Obama must feel that this would be political suicide…and honestly, if the word of God is true, it would be more than mere political suicide.
