Iran still needs our prayers.
This young woman singing in the streets of Iran has become a symbol of the millions longing for freedom in her country. Simply singing in the streets like this can be a death sentence for a woman.
While the protests and deadly crackdowns by the government seemed to almost be at a tipping point this week, suddenly it appears the fires are once again smothered (as has happened in the past under the chilling effect of mass, public executions). Israel, the US, and other nations remain on alert, vigilant, as Iran’s fanatical religious leaders continue to threaten attacks on its own people as well as the Jewish State.
And let’s not forget our Iranian brothers and sisters—estimated to be around one million, if not more. The Church in Iran is filled with Muslim background believers who have encountered Yeshua, the Jewish Messiah, and have given their lives to Him—knowing their decision could literally cost them their earthly life today in Iran.
“Remember those in prison, as if you were prisoners with them, and those who are mistreated, as if you yourselves were suffering.” (Heb 13:3)
Despite what the media is reporting, first-hand accounts coming out of Iran indicate that the oppressive regime is continuing its violent assault against the Iranian people—slaughtering and arresting men, women, and even young children.
Join me in continuing to pray fervently for Iran. God loves the Iranian people. And Yeshua’s body there is suffering. Let us pray for Iran’s evil government led by religious fanatics to collapse and for the Good News of Yeshua to spread like a wildfire in Iran, bringing hope, light, and healing to a hurting people.
Shabbat Shalom.
