Ilhan Omar, Bernie Sanders continue to rail against the “occupation”

U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar praised an organization that seeks to expose Israeli military conduct in the “occupied territories” for its exhibit about the highly charged city of Hebron and for “paving a path to the end of occupation.”

The Minnesota congresswoman, who is well known for her anti-Israel and anti-Semitic sentiments, posted her comments on Twitter after attending the Breaking the Silence exhibit at the J Street 2019 conference.

“Acknowledgment is the first step to peace. By sharing your stories, you are paving a path to the end of occupation,” Omar said.

Breaking the Silence collects testimonials from Israel soldiers who served in the Palestinian territories.

“All of the photos in the exhibit were taken by IDF soldiers who served in the occupied territories since the beginning of the Second Intifada, and portray the day to day realities of life in the West Bank from the point of view of soldiers sent to serve there on behalf of the State of Israel,” BTS said. “The soldiers who took these photos are among over 1,200 IDF veterans who have broken the silence about what they were sent to do in the occupied territories.”

Of course, that is out of more than 2,000,000 soldiers, or 00.005%. In any conflict you will find bad apples. However, I doubt there were any pictures of Jewish body parts, as in legs, fingers and hands, that had been blown up by a Islamic suicide bomber.  There probably wasn’t any photos of blown up buses or restaurants, or Israeli families who children were murders by Palestinian terrorists.

At the same conference, Democrat presidential candidate Bernie Sanders — who is Jewish — said he would use American military aid as leverage against Israel to withdraw from the settlements and make peace with the Palestinians. He also said a portion of the $3.8 billion that the United States gives each year to Israel should be diverted to the Gaza Strip for humanitarian relief.

“It is a lot of money, and we cannot give it carte blanche to the Israeli government, or for that matter to any government at all,” he said. “We have a right to demand respect for human rights and democracy.”“What is going on in Gaza right now, for example, is absolutely inhumane. It is unacceptable. It is unsustainable.”

To be clear, Sen. Sanders, what is going in Gaza is that Hamas, a demonic terrorist group, is abusing the people of Gaza, turning it into mini-Iran. They have ruined the economy. If you speak against them, you could be killed without a trial. Reporters are routinely intimidated and attacked. Hamas is the violators of human rights in Gaza…and any honest person would see that. But when pandering for left wing votes, you will sell your Jewish soul.

Democrats have increasingly suggested withholding aid as leverage against Israel. Last week, Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, another presidential contender, also said cutting aid to pressure Israel was “on the table.” But Sanders’ idea to divert it to Gaza appears to be unprecedented.

Some other speakers at J Street’s conference included presidential candidates Pete Buttigieg, Julian Castro and Amy Klobuchar, as well as one of Israel’s Arab Knesset members, Ayman Odeh.

J Street is an extremely liberal, anti-Israel, Jewish advocacy group.

Former Vice President Joe Biden was the staunchest defender of Israel among the Democrat candidates. He was the only one who didn’t cave to politically correct, flawed narrative.

“Israelis wake up every morning facing an existential threat,” he said. “That’s why we always have to be adamant that Israel must be able to defend itself.”
