Day 63— Israel in Crisis

It took the United Nations nearly two months before they found their voice regarding the sexual crimes that Hamas committed against Jewish men and women, boys and girls, on October 7. I watched yesterday a video of several students at Columbia University not merely supporting the Palestinian people but giving a full-throated endorsement of Hamas’s barbaric actions on October 7. Ironically, all of these kids are training to be social workers. In other words, they should be dealing with victims of trauma, not becoming cheerleaders for the perpetrators of trauma.

Without any aid, an education at Columbia University costs $320,000! I feel sorry for the parents who are wasting their money sending their children to an institution that embraces murder and beheading as creative ways to “accomplish great feats.”
And just as an aside, these naive young adults think that Hamas represents the Palestinian people. There are dozens and dozens of videos being released now that Hamas is hiding, showing the Palestinians of Gaza blaming Hamas, not rooting for them. Here and here, for example.
And, will somebody please tell these people that Egypt has a border with Gaza? That’s right, their Arab brothers could be helping them every day and in every way, but what they have actually said is that they will not allow Gazans to take refuge in the Sinai Peninsula! They don’t want Palestinians in Egypt!
MURDERERS, NOT FREEDOM FIGHTERS
As you might recall, I painfully sat through a screening of just some of the crimes committed against Israelis. Today, I want to share some of the eyewitness reports. This will be very difficult to read, but we cannot put our heads in the sand when there is an onslaught of media coming from news outlets and universities justifying the brutal actions of terrorists.

“They had caught a young woman near a car, and she was fighting back, not allowing them to strip her. They threw her to the ground, and one of the terrorists took a shovel and beheaded her and her head rolled along the ground.”

“I saw this beautiful woman with the face of an angel and eight or 10 of the fighters, beating her and raping her. ‘She was screaming stop it already, I’m going to die anyway from what you were doing, just kill me!’ When they finished they were laughing, and the last one shot her in the head.”

“This was an apocalypse of corpses. Girls without clothing, top or bottom. People were cut in half, others mutilated. Some with heads cut off. Girls whose pelvises had been broken from multiple rapes. Their legs spread open in splits form.”

“I saw a situation in which a woman was forced to bend over, was raped, and then passed on to the others. The terrorists were dressed in IDF uniforms. They were shouting in Arabic. The raped girl was still alive, standing on her feet, bleeding from her back.
“There was another woman, naked. The terrorist pulled her hair backward, cut off her breast, threw it to the ground, and the others were playing with it, while they continued to pull her hair backward. Another terrorist came and penetrated her. Then with his pants still down, he shot her in the head.”

I’m going to stop now. My dear friend Ahser Intrater wrote recently,
“The Knesset committee on ‘women’s rights and gender equality’ reported that they have received to date more than 1500 testimonies from the October 7 massacre at the Nova Rave party and Israeli villages surrounding Gaza at the hands of Hamas-Jihad terrorists.”
Those are just a few. Let me be clear. This is the behavior that the students at Columbia University were justifying. Let me be even more clear. These students were not Palestinians or Arabs, but Americans. This is what they call fighting for freedom.
Friends, we are at war! I’m not referring to a war in Gaza, I’m referring to a worldwide war of words and ideas as I’ve been sharing with you for weeks, Israel has become as polarizing as abortion. The Bible prophesied that the nations would turn against Israel, so we should not be surprised. And as heartbreaking as this is, we must keep our eyes on Yeshua. We are not alone in this battle. As we get closer to the end of the age, Zechariah 14 says that he will come from heaven (Rev. 19) and fight for Israel, and then establish his Messianic kingdom.
I believe the fighting will soon end in Gaza, but the war will continue until he comes. Stay engaged, maintain the love of God in your heart, but lift up your voice. This is not a time for silence.
