Strengthening the Body in Israel

One of our greatest joys is helping to build up the Body of Messiah here in Israel.

Shelanu TV: Together with other ministries, we help underwrite Israel’s only Hebrew-language Messianic television outreach. This is a historic work that reaches Israelis right where they are—on buses, at home, anywhere. Most Israelis will not come to a Messianic congregation, even if they are curious, but Shelanu can reach them.
Tiferet Yeshua: We are honored to be the single largest donor to this vibrant Hebrew-speaking congregation in Tel Aviv. Your generosity directly strengthens local believers and outreach across Israel. Through Feed Tel Aviv we are able to reach the most broken in our city—drug addicts, prostitutes, and the homeless. You play a major role in this effort.

A Call From the Lord: Addressing Clergy Sexual Abuse

Two years ago, the Lord spoke to me over several days, telling me that I would be involved in helping educate ministers so the Church could properly address clergy sexual abuse (CSA). At the time, I didn’t know what that would look like. But then, events unfolded—completely outside of my control—that placed us directly in the center of this crisis in the Church.

Let me be clear: It should disturb every follower of Yeshua when we hear of a minister using spiritual authority to manipulate someone for sexual gratification. Nothing could be further from the values of our Messiah, who taught self-sacrifice, humility, and doing everything possible to protect the vulnerable from stumbling (Matt. 18:6).

In recent months, I was asked to help write a new manual for churches, alongside other respected charismatic leaders. Its purpose is twofold:

To help ministers establish safeguards so they never even approach the line of abusing their authority, and
To create safe systems where victims can report abuse without fear, shame, or reprisal.

For too long, victims have been silenced, dismissed, or told to stay quiet “for the sake of the ministry.” This is not the heart of Yeshua. And it’s time for sweeping change.

The Lord put this burden in my spirit long before the doors opened—and now He is leading us to serve the Church in this critical area.

We hope to have my new book, When Shepherds Prey, in print by the end of January. I should be getting the manuscript back from the editor within the next 10 days.
Next month, I will be in Singapore, leading an all-day seminar for pastors on clergy sexual abuse prevention and response. Some ministers actually teach that we can expect these moral failings from male ministers—I reject that and I want to help train leaders to see how evil it is to manipulate one of Yeshua’s “little ones.”
